Who is it for?

Consultation

    •    The elasticity of the arm skin and the amount of fat are assessed.
    •    The patient's expectations are discussed with the surgeon. It is determined whether the arm lift will involve only skin removal or a combination of liposuction.
    •    The recovery period and the expected results are explained.

The Surgical Procedure

    •    General anaesthesia is usually used.
    •    In minor cases, a local anaesthetic may be used.
    •    The operation takes approximately 2 hours.
    •    In most cases, the patient is discharged home on the same day or the following day.

Recovery Process

    •    The arms may be swollen and tender for the first 1–2 weeks.
    •    An arm brace must be worn for 1 month.
    •    Strenuous activity and sports are restricted for 3 months.
    •    The full result becomes visible within 6 months.
